Michael Plotkin (he/him) Michael Plotkin loves plants above most other things. He has turned this abiding enthusiasm into an associate professorship at Mt. San Jacinto College and a gig as co-editor of the MERLOT biology board. He has participated in research on birds in Florida before his passion for plants became terminal, after which he focused on vernal pool species and cucurbits at UC Davis.
