Presenter Details

William Selby Selby’s teaching career in the earth science department at Santa Monica College (and as guest lecturer at UC) included organizing and leading hundreds of field trips throughout the state and beyond with thousands of his colleagues and students. His diverse research interests and professional and personal activities reflect his devotion to earth science, geography, atmospheric science, natural history, and environmental studies. He carries decades of personal and professional weather observations and climate research experience. Selby continues exploring and researching, reconnecting people to their natural world, and sharing his discoveries with audiences throughout the state.
